Rats cause damage and spread disease, they can usually be found under kitchen units, in basements, under garden sheds and decking, behind bath panels and in roof voids.
Our homes provide a perfect habitat for rats as they are warm and give access to food and shelter. Rats can also live in derelict buildings and sheds as these also provide shelter and they can get their food from compost heaps and bird food or food that we leave out for pets.
